light has REALLY just fucked himself over. he needs to kill off ray’s fiance immediatly in order to avoid the police getting their hands on her speculations, but the other police officers saw him leaving with her, so….
light is really playing a risky game here which is kind of stupid of him considering how L has already proven to be a really adept investigator and a person who knows just as much, if not more, than light does about the death note. also!! i like ryuk? he doesn’t even give a shit about anything, he just wants to watch the world burn!! i can respect that.
i haven’t even seen his face, but L is already my favourite!! the part where he broadcasted that news report in kantou and used a prisoner to test light’s abilities was so smart and WOAH i can feel the narrative tension had already increased tenfold.
okay, i just watched the first episode and i like it! the art style and the gothic atmosphere. the death god looks scary! also light seems like a very interesting dude. i got the impression that he isn’t concerned about making the world a better place, rather it seems like he uses that moral principle to masquerade an inflated sense of importance. the flow of the episode was very natural and it established the premise pretty well.
